Having been a working Dive Professional for several years I decided to do my IDC back in 2009. Mark was my Course Director for this. I found him professional and very thorough and the IE seemed easy after the IDC. I would certainly recommend him to anyone considering going down the professional route.-
Mark is an excellent PADI Course Director and DDI Instructor trainer I had the privilege to dive with. Mark trained me to DDI instructor in Dubai in 2013, he was informative, knowledgeable and offered plenty of extra tips on how to provide the best experience to my future disabled divers. Mark always kept in touch and was happy to support with further information and advices during the years. I highly recommend diving and learning to dive with Mark as you’d learn from one of the best.
I’d just like to say what an amazing course director and instructor trainer you are. You are an inspiration to us all in everything you have accomplished. Keep up the great work. It’s was a great pleasure meeting you and having you as my instructor trainer for my DDI (disabled divers international) instructor course. I hope we meet up again soon. Many many thanks. Sean Flynn
Having undertaken training in scuba up to the highest level of certification, I am well versed in the excellent standards and services of many major scuba course providers. Mark Slingo exceeds them all. His personality, wealth of experience and extensive expertise make him the ideal teacher and mentor for anyone who has a real passion for diving. I would recommend him unreservedly to all! One could wish for no better guide above or below the water!
Mark was my PADI staff who I trained with when I did my PADI IDC in 2007, his dive & course knowledge is first class, his training techniques are excellent and is humour is top notch. IDCs are tough and you need a Course Director who can inject a bit of fun in to the course at the right time. If you decide to GoPro with Mark, you will be in safe hands, learn loads and have bags of confidence going in to your PADI Instructor Exam.
Working and learning from Mark was a serious eye opener exercise for me. Not just to learn how to teach disabled people, but to understand their problems and difficulties in life as well. However the greatest thing is to see them enjoying diving that is norm to us much more than anyone i have seen before. The course itself not only equipped me with the knowledge of teaching disabled people diving but to look at life differently. Mark himself is an awesome guy who looks at any opportunity for a laugh and positive outcomes. Hoping to visit you in Kenya soon!!!
