Dive & Safari Package - Masai Mara - Scuba Dive Diani, Kenya

Our Masai Mara drive and safari package combines the incredible spectacle of the World Famous Masai Mara reserve with the amazing diving of the Indian Ocean in Diani Beach. The 10-night trip includes stays at the Zebra Plains Camp in the Mara before transit to the luxury Baobab Beach Resort and Spa in Diani where you can depart for daily dive trips.

The package enables you to see the best of land and ocean that Kenya has to offer, including the chance of seeing the big 5 (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino) on land before going to encounter the corals, turtles, whale sharks and more in the ocean.

Your safari will be in large 4×4 Land Cruisers with a knowledgeable guide to hopefully enable you to find and see the famous animals in Africa.

When you are not on safari or diving the white powder sands of Diani are the perfect place to relax in style, as well as enjoy Kenya’s local culture, restaurants, and bars. The Swahili coast offers lots to see as well such as the Omani constructions in Mombasa Old Town, the Shimoni Slave Caves, and local craft and food markets. For those who still need a little adrenaline, Diani has lots more activities including kite surfing and skydiving. Trust us you will not get bored.

Day 1 - Arrive Nairobi- Transit to Masai Mara

Check-in for your flight to the Masai Mara. (included) The flight departs around 8 am – arrives at the Masai Mara around 10-10.30 depending on the location of your camp/lodge. On arrival, you will be met by the camp’s driver/guide, transferred to the camp, short game-drive en- route. Check-in and enjoy lunch. Afternoon game-drive.

Morning game drive, breakfast at the camp. Check out, early lunch, and transfer to the airstrip to fly back to Diani around 1 pm. The flight departs between 1-2 pm and arrives at Diani airport around 4-4.30 pm On arrival at Diani – transfer to Baobab Beach Resort & Spa

Day 5-11- Diani Beach & Diving!

Enjoy the beauty of Diani Beach and scuba diving on Diani’s numerous coral reefs. You will be staying at the fabulous Baobab Beach Resort & Spa on an all-inclusive package. Dive trips depart daily from the on-site Ocean Tribe dive centre, while the rest of the time you can enjoy the rest of the numerous activities in Diani including fabulous bars, restaurants and nightlife. Zebra Plains Camp

The Zebra Plains luxury tented rooms are furnished with all the amenities that you will require for a comfortable stay. The main area has the best views of the open plains of the Maasai Mara where you will always have some animals walking in front of the camp or coming for a drink. Sunsets from here as well are some of the best in the Mara.

Baobab Beach Resort & Spa is is located within 80 acres of tropical gardens overlooking the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. The resort stretches over 500m of white powder beach and is renowned as Kenya’s leading all-inclusive resort. Ocean Tribe is located in the resort for ease of diver training and dive safaris for guests.

In the ocean depending on the time of year you will have the chance to see our coral reef life including many turtles, dolphins, manta rays, whale sharks and more*.

Diani dive sites include coral and wreck dives, while we also offer trips to the protected Kisite Marine National Park.

As well as doing fun dives on your package for those who wish to advance their diving certification, Ocean Tribe as a PADI 5 Star IDC Center offer all PADI Courses from beginner to instructor levels. Ocean Tribe is also a specialist in diving for disabled people for those with a disability wishing to give diving a go.
