Dive Club Terms and Conditions

1. Membership Validity

Your Dive Club membership is valid for 12 full months from the exact date of purchase. Once you sign up, your benefits begin immediately and remain active until your expiry date. Please note, membership is non-refundable and non-transferable, so be sure to make the most of it throughout the year.

2. Eligibility

To join the Dive Club, you must be a certified diver. At minimum, we require Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) to take part in fun dives.

If you’re applying for the East African resident rate, you must prove citizenship or legal residency in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, or Burundi. When registering, you’ll need to upload or present a valid ID, residence permit, or utility bill that confirms your residency status.

3. Booking and Dive Access

All dive trips, pool refreshers, and training sessions must be booked in advance. Because space is limited and weather conditions may vary, we recommend booking early—especially during holidays and high season.

Gold Tier members enjoy unlimited fun diving, but access is always subject to availability, boat capacity, and minimum booking numbers. Plan ahead to secure your preferred dive dates.

4. Your Dive Club Benefits

Your membership includes fantastic value—but here’s how to make the most of it:

  • Equipment rental is free for standard recreational gear. However, you’ll need to rent specialty items (like dive computers, cameras, torches, or tech gear) separately unless stated otherwise.
  • If you want to try something new, you can book a Try Scuba Diving session or Intro to Sidemount—both are included. Just make sure you schedule in advance.
  • Don’t forget to celebrate! You’ll receive a free birthday dive, but it must be booked and used within 7 days of your actual birthday.
  • Planning to bring a friend? Even better. They’ll get 20% off their fun diving—as long as they book the same trip and dive day as you.

5. Partner Discounts

Your Dive Club membership also unlocks exclusive deals beyond diving:

  • You’ll receive discounted accommodation rates at partner hotels and resorts in Diani Beach.
  • You’ll also access special safari rates through our trusted travel partners.To qualify, just present your valid Ocean Tribe Dive Club digital ID at the time of booking or check-in. However, please remember: these offers are managed by third parties, and Ocean Tribe cannot control changes in availability, pricing, or terms.

6. Identification and Digital Access

You won’t need a plastic card—your Dive Club membership lives inside the MySSI app. As long as your profile is up to date, you can easily show proof of membership, book your dives, and check your benefits anytime.

If you haven’t already, download the free MySSI app and link it to your diver account as soon as you register.

7. Program Changes and Misuse

Ocean Tribe may update Dive Club benefits, pricing, or terms as needed. Rest assured, any changes will apply only to new sign-ups and renewals—not existing memberships.

However, we take misuse seriously. If we find evidence of unauthorized benefit sharing, false residency claims, or any abuse of the program, we reserve the right to cancel your membership without refund.
