Coral gardens meet the wall
Tiwi Wall lies near the mouth of the Kongo River, beyond the main Diani reef area. A shallow coral plateau begins at approximately 5–6 metres before the site slopes into deeper water.
The reef combines hard and soft coral gardens with overhangs, a tunnel and deeper wall-like terrain. Its variety makes it useful for relaxed exploration, training and underwater photography.

Best when the river runs clear
Tiwi Wall lies close to the mouth of the Kongo River. After heavy rainfall, river runoff can reduce visibility around the site.
Drier periods can offer clearer conditions, allowing divers to appreciate the coral gardens, wall features and fish life more fully. Ocean Tribe checks local conditions before selecting Tiwi.

Reef fish
Fusiliers, sergeant majors, yellow snapper, parrotfish and angelfish.
Hawksbill turtles
Turtles may occasionally pass through the coral gardens.
Blue-spotted rays
Look across sandy areas for rays resting near coral heads.
Macro life
Nudibranchs, flatworms and pipefish hide in sheltered reef sections.
Cuttlefish
Watch for changing colour and texture around the reef.
Sweetlips
Sweetlips may gather beneath ledges or around sheltered coral.
Barracuda
Keep an eye beyond the reef for barracuda cruising in open water.
