Dive & Safari Package - Tsavo & Amboseli

Our Tsavo and Amboseli drive and safari package combines the incredible sites of Tsavo East and Amboseli National parks with the amazing diving of the Indian Ocean in Diani Beach. The 10 night trip includes stays at Satao Camp in Tsavo East, and Ol Tukai lodge in Amboseli, before transit to the luxury Baobab Beach Resort and Spa in Diani where you can depart for daily dive trips.

The package enables you to see the best of land and ocean that Kenya has to offer, including the chance of seeing the big 5 (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino) on land before going to encounter the corals, turtles, whale sharks and more in the ocean.

Your safari will be in large 4×4 Land Cruisers with a knowledgeable guide to hopefully enable you to find and see the famous animals in Africa.

When you are not on safari or diving the white powder sands of Diani are the perfect place to relax in style, as well as enjoy Kenya’s local culture, restaurants, and bars. The Swahili coast offers lots to see as well such as the Omani constructions in Mombasa Old Town, the Shimoni Slave Caves, and local craft and food markets. For those who still need a little adrenaline, Diani has lots more activities including kite surfing and skydiving. Trust us you will not get bored.

Day 1 - Arrive Mombasa- Transit to Tsavo East National Park

Start your safari with a visit to Tsavo East National Park, enter the park via the Bachuma gate (appr. 100km out of Mombasa ), and game-drive en route to the lodge/camp. Tsavo East is one of the largest and oldest parks in Kenya. It’s separated from Tsavo West by the highway and railway. Great to spot lots of wildlife of which the park has an abundance. The Yatta Plateau, Lugard Falls, and Galana River are some of the known features of Tsavo East. Lunch at the camp/ lodge – afternoon game- drive. Dinner & Overnight Tsavo East National Park

Day 2 - Tsavo East National Park- Amboseli National Park

Wake up for an early morning game-drive, the best time to view wildlife! ( depending on location of your camp we might also depart after an early breakfast and do a game drive en route to the park exit. Proceed to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Part of the Park is a lake where one can see lots of birdlife. A big variety of wildlife can be spotted in the plains and swamps, Giraffe, zebra, Cheetah, Lions, Buffalo and many more. Lunch at the lodge/camp – afternoon game-drive. Dinner & Overnight Amboseli National Park.

Day 3 - Amboseli National Park- Tsavo West National Park

Wake up for an early morning game-drive, the best time to have a clear view of the mountain! Return for breakfast at the lodge/camp. Continue to Tsavo West National Park, a totally different experience! Tsavo West has an amazing scenery, the landscape just changes in all corners of the park. Visit the Mzima Springs, four natural springs in the western part of the park. The source of the springs originate from the Chyulu Hills , a range of volcanic lava rock and ash. Mzima has many hippos and crocodiles. Lunch at the lodge/ camp and afternoon game-drive. Dinner & Overnight Tsavo West National Park

Day 4- Tsavo West National Park- Diani Beach

Enjoy your last morning game-drive! After breakfast start the drive back to the Coast – lunch enroute – Arrival at Diani late afternoon. Full Board Accommodation at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa

Day 5-11- Diani Beach & Diving!

Enjoy the beauty of Diani Beach and scuba diving on Diani’s numerous coral reefs. You will be staying at the fabulous Baobab Beach Resort & Spa on an all-inclusive package. Dive trips depart daily from the on-site Ocean Tribe dive centre, while the rest of the time you can enjoy the rest of the numerous activities in Diani including fabulous bars, restaurants and nightlife. Satao Camp- Tsavo East

Ocean Tribe is located in the resort for ease of diver training and dive safaris for guests.

In the ocean depending on the time of year you will have the chance to see our coral reef life including many turtles, dolphins, manta rays, whale sharks and more*.

Diani dive sites include coral and wreck dives, while we also offer trips to the protected Kisite Marine National Park.

As well as doing fun dives on your package for those who wish to advance their diving certification, Ocean Tribe as a PADI 5 Star IDC Center offer all PADI Courses from beginner to instructor levels. Ocean Tribe is also a specialist in diving for disabled people for those with a disability wishing to give diving a go.
