You’ve taken the first step toward understanding why freediving is becoming a popular approach to explore the ocean’s depths. There is no need to have taken a freediving course before.

Freediving is about developing inner strength, discipline, and control. Freediving is for you if you’ve always wanted to visit the undersea world discreetly, on your own terms, and stay as long as your breath allows. Take the PADI Freediver course to learn why freediving is becoming a popular way to explore under the seas.

To enroll in a PADI Freediver course you must be at least 15 years old. You must have adequate swimming ability and be in decent physical condition. There is no need for prior snorkeling, skin diving, or freediving expertise.

If you’re under the age of 15, the PADI Basic Freediver course is for you, and the PADI Skin Diver course is for you if you’re eight years old or older.

PADI Freediver eLearning allows you to expand your knowledge on your own time (or your instructor may conduct class sessions if not available in a language you understand).

The PADI Freediver course is divided into three sections:

PADI Freediver eLearning allows you to deepen your knowledge of freediving concepts on your own time (or your instructor may conduct class sessions if not available in a language you understand).

Breathhold skills, as well as static and dynamic apnea, are taught in a confined water session. Goal: 90 seconds of static apnea and 25 meters/80 feet of dynamic apnea.

Practice free immersion and constant weight freedives in open water, as well as correct buddy techniques. Constant weight freedive of 10 meters/30 feet is the goal.

You will learn to use a mask, snorkel, and fins, as well as a wetsuit and weight belt, in the PADI Freediver course. Although it is recommended to use freediving equipment, you may be able to use snorkeling equipment you already own in this course.
