For advanced freedivers who aim to reach elite levels of freediving. You’ll discover how to improve your static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion, and constant weight skills.

The PADI Master Freediver course is for advanced freedivers who want to learn how to fine-tune their lifestyle and training so that they may reach elite freediving capabilities. You’ll take your static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion, and constant weight skills to the next level with targeted sessions.

You must be at least 18 years old and hold a PADI Advanced Freediver certification to enroll in a PADI Master Freediver course (or a qualifying certification from another freediver organization). Within the last 24 months, you must also have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training. This training can be completed while doing the Rescue Diver course. At the same time, your PADI Instructor may give the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty diver course.

PADI Freediver eLearning allows you to expand your knowledge on your own time (or your instructor may conduct class sessions if not available in a language you understand).

The PADI Master Freediver course is divided into three sections:

Nutritional knowledge, relaxation, and advanced breathing techniques are all being developed. Using the PADI Freediver eLearning, you will study autonomously (or your instructor may conduct class sessions if not available in your language). As part of the Master Freediver Assignment, you’ll also conduct independent research.

Improve static and dynamic apnea attempts in confined water, including a no fins dynamic apnea. Goal: 3 minutes, 30 seconds of static apnea and 70 meters/230 feet of dynamic apnea.

Warm-up and workup dives for free immersion and constant weight freediving are performed in open water sessions to develop mouthfill equalization. Constant weight freedive of 32 meters/105 feet is the goal.

You will learn to use a mask, snorkel, and fins, as well as a wetsuit and weight belt, in the PADI Basic Freediver course. Although it is recommended to use freediving equipment, you may be able to use snorkeling equipment you already own in this course.
