Taking a PADI Specialty Instructor course with our PADI Course Director Mark is a great way to be able to pass on your personal interests in scuba diving. Teaching PADI Specialty Diver courses as a PADI Specialty Instructor also enables you to take the step towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating and gets you out of a cycle of teaching entry-level and core PADI courses all the time.

The PADI Specialty Instructor course training includes teaching tips, marketing ideas, the course skills and hands-on experience that you need to privde fun and informative PADI Specialty Diver courses.

There are many different PADI Specialty Diver courses and Distinctive specialties to choose from so it’s time to get started.

All PADI Instructors can benefit from taking a PADI Specialty Instructor course, and as mentioned you need to be able to teach agt least 5 PADI Specialties to be able to make the step up to PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)

PADI Assistant Instructors, instructor candidates in training, and PADI Divemasters are eligible to enroll in certain specialty instructor courses. Some specialties have additional prerequisites and exit requirements – please ask us for details.

All Specialties

• PADI Instructor, or currently participating in/completed an IDC/OWSI Program within the past 12 months. IDC/OWSI candidates may apply for Specialty Instructor certification only after successfully completing an IE.

Specialties Without Dives

  • PADI Assistant Instructor
  • PADI Divemaster for these courses: Emergency Oxygen Provider, Equipment Specialist, Coral Reef Conservation, Project AWARE Specialist and PADI Distinctive Specialty Diver (approved).Exception: Both Divemasters and Assistant Instructors may attend Digital Underwater Photographer specialty instructor training courses.

Your PADI Course Direector will give a couple of presentations about the goasla dn structor of PADI Specialty Courses and marketing and organising your PADI Specialty Diver courses. You will also look at how to cost the courses and specialist dive equipment required to teach that PADI Specialty Diver course

You will need to staudy the PADI Specialty Instructor outline for the PADI Specialty Instructor course you are taking. The PADI Course Director will assign you a Knoweldge Development presentation similar to the ones you gave on your PADI IDC.

During the PADI Specialty Diver course you will be assigned and conduct teaching presentations in open water from the PADI Specialty Diver course you are becoming an instructor in. These will also include suggestion on dry run for appropriate courses outside the water and other organisation and logistics, in addition to the teaching part.
