POOL TRAINING
The SSI Search and Recovery course practical part includes both confined and open water diver training. You will perform the following skills and exercises in the water

You’ll learn how to handle different lifting devices, such as lift bags, and understand their proper usage for efficient recovery.
OCEAN DIVES
We will go by boat out to local coral reefs and wrecks which are suitable for conducting the training dives.
You will make 2 search and recovery dives as part of the course following mastering the techniques in the pool.
The skills will include:

Once all performance requirements have been met by you with regards to elearning, and confined and open water dives you will be issued with an SSI Search and Recovery Diver certification, indicating that you are qualified to use sidemount gear and dive a sidemount configuration. (the last dive can be a free fun dive where you can put your new skills to use).

SSI Deep Diving Course – Explore the Depths with Confidence. Do you dream of exploring the deep blue and discovering the mysteries that lie beneath? The SSI Deep Diving course is your gateway to safely diving deeper and experiencing the wonders of the underwater world beyond recreational limits. Designed for adventurous divers, this course provides the skills, knowledge, and confidence to dive up to 40 meters (130 feet) while maintaining safety and control.
Diving at greater depths allows you to explore shipwrecks, vibrant marine life, and underwater landscapes that are inaccessible to most divers. However, deep diving requires specialized training to manage the unique challenges and risks. The SSI Deep Diving course equips you with the expertise to:
Plan and execute dives up to 40 meters safely.
Understand the effects of nitrogen narcosis and how to manage it.

OCEAN DIVES
We will go by boat out to a local reef / wreck which is suitable for conducting the training.
You will have 3 dives in total after which you are a fully certified SSI Deep Diver, assuming that you have met all of the other course performance requirements. You will also get a free fun dive to apply what you have learned.

The course is open to anyone from age 15 who has: Completed the Open Water Diver course or an equivalent rating from another organisation. Due to the depth of the wreck in Diani, you must also be Advanced Adventurer or Deep Diver qualified or taking the Deep Specialty alongside the Wreck Spec.

How long does the Perfect Buoyancy course take?
The course takes about one day. It includes theory and at least two training dives where you will practice buoyancy, trim, and control.
Do I need my own equipment?
No, you don’t need to own equipment to join. Ocean Tribe provides high-quality rental gear. However, the course is a great opportunity to test different setups, such as backplate-and-wing BCDs, and learn what might suit you best before buying your own.
What will I learn in the course?
