Ocean Tribe Dive Job Content Creator Challenge – Competition Rules
1. Eligibility
The competition is open to nationals of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, or Rwanda.
Applicants must be aged 18 years or older.
Applicants must be able to swim and be medically fit for scuba diving activities.
Proof of nationality and a valid government-issued ID or passport must be submitted during application.
2. Application Requirements
All applicants must complete the official application form online at:

The form requires:
- A current CV
- Links to examples of your previous content (social media accounts, portfolios)
- A short introduction video explaining why you want to become a content creator with Ocean Tribe
- A copy of your ID or passport
Applications not completed through the official form will not be considered.
3. Selection Process
Ocean Tribe will select three finalists based on the quality of submitted content, storytelling potential, and passion demonstrated in the introduction video.
Selected finalists will be invited to participate in the Dive Job Content Creator Challenge.
4. The Challenge
Finalists will receive free access to two scuba diving courses: SSI Open Water Diver and SSI Advanced Adventurer (combined value of $750).
Each finalist must document their journey at key stages:
- Signing up for digital learning
- Completing the online theory
- Pool training sessions
- Open Water training dives
- Reflections after each milestone
Content can include videos, reels, blogs, stories, vlogs, or creative photo essays.
5. Content Guidelines
Content must be original, authentic, and engaging.
Finalists grant Ocean Tribe Ltd permission to use all submitted materials across its social media channels, website, and marketing campaigns.
Candidates are responsible for ensuring any music, images, or footage used are copyright-free or properly licensed.
6. Judging Criteria
The winner will be determined based on:
- Creativity, storytelling, and quality of content (judged by Ocean Tribe’s panel)
- Public engagement (likes, shares, comments)
- Public voting through Ocean Tribe polls
- Direct bookings linked to candidate content
7. Prize
The winning candidate will secure a minimum one-season contract as Ocean Tribe’s official Content Creator.
They will receive free scuba diving training up to SSI Divemaster Level (training value over $3000) along with a competitive salary.
They will also be involved in daily content creation activities at Ocean Tribe.
8. Important Dates
Application Deadline: 31st May 2025
Challenge Period: June 1- August 31st 2025
Winner Announcement: September 10th 2025
9. Terms and Conditions
Ocean Tribe Ltd reserves the right to extend, modify, or cancel the competition as necessary.
By submitting an application, participants accept the Content and Data Release Agreement.
All decisions made by the judging panel are final and binding.
